Gregory Hunt is a leading independent mediator who brings a unique skillset having spent over 26 years working in alternative dispute resolution and on complex civil and commercial disputes.
He has mediated over 140 disputes and worked in over twenty jurisdictions including The UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovenia, New York, Atlanta, Connecticut, Hong Kong and Tunisia.

He previously spent over thirteen years with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and its subsidiary IDRS Limited, where he was responsible for incorporating The City Disputes Panel which previously oversaw hundreds of mediations annually He also spent seven years at The Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and two years with consumer dispute resolution bodies including Ombudsmen, where he held Executive Director roles.
Gregory is a Fellow of the Civil Mediation Council and he has trained over one hundred mediators globally. He is also accredited as a mediator by CEDR and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
Gregory Hunt has mediated over 140 complex matters ranging from ‘no monetary value’ to £30 million and co-mediated disputes with a value of over £300 million.
He is a member of mediator panels at several institutions and on lists held by many national and international law firms used for sourcing mediators.
Gregory’s mediation style has been referred to as “relaxed but active”. He places an importance on building rapport with the parties and putting them at ease before the mediation day itself if possible. He has had significant success mediating where strong personalities on either side have clashed. This has been by building an environment in which emotions can be released without derailing chances of settlement. Though he is relaxed and easy to get along with, he is known to be tough when required.
Gregory regularly leads mediator skills training which allows him to incorporate the latest developments and trends.
